When the wind is not blowing, Puerto Rico offers world class surfing at hundreds of uncrowded breaks all around the island. Surfing is an incredible complementary watersport for windsurfing and kiteboarding and will ultimately improve your water skills in every sport.

We provide surfing lessons and rentals here at Velauno on a year round basis..

RENTALS: Surfboard rentals are provided at the Velauno shop. We offer a range of BIC Sport surfboards which are great for beginner to intermediate surfers. Soft racks are provided for your car if you do not have a rack to transport the board. Rentals available Monday through Friday 10am - 7pm and Saturday 11am - 7pm. William "Chino" Sue-A-Quan, is a professional surfer from Puerto Rico. He has been surfing for 22 years and has represented Puerto Rico around the world. Chino founded WOW Surfing School over 10 years ago in Puerto Rico, and has taught many thousands of locals and tourist the art and joy of Walking on Water (Surfing!).

Surfing lessons take place on different surfing spots. They are for all ages with a requirement of swimming. Lessons are given in private, for groups or special events. Our objective during surfing lessons is for people to learn to surf with the proper equipment in a safe environment with the proper instructions by a professional.

No experience necessary.
