A unusually big summer swell beat Guajataca Beach Fest competitors to the punch and forced organizers to move the competition to beautiful and calm Crashboat Beach in Aguadilla.
Paddlers that showed up to the event in Guajataca were met with a great breakfast but unkind conditions for racing. Event organizer Hector Valle suggested the SUP event be moved to the pristine beach of Crashboat in nearby Aguadilla were the conditions were ideal for racing.
A 3.85 mile long course was set by the organizer and small group of Elite racers took to the water.
