Just about everything is set for the event this coming Sunday. People can come to the camp site at the Guajataca Beach Tunnel site. They can report to the Guajataca Hotel lobby to get event information.
We are doing body-board and surfing competition on saturday AM and finals on sunday PM. We are doing beach volleyball on saturday and sunday PM. Skimboard competition on sunday PM as well... The highlight will be the SUP race and the courses look like huge challenge with the winds we are expecting!
The entertainment will be at the Hotel Guajataca grounds starting at 9:00 P.M. saturday night. There will be a battle of the bands (rock and reggae), then Eons plays and finally Gomba Jahbari (the Islands top reggae band - I am told will play).
For those not willing to camp, there are hotels and guest houses in the immediate area close to the beach. They can contact me for lodging info.
The promo for the Beach Fest appeared on El Nuevo Dia newspaper this past sunday, it also appears on the Compania de Turismo magazine, and is being advertised at the Pirata's Basketball games (they are on the Island's semi-finals now!), so we should get a good crowd.
